After leaving the entrance, drive to the bottom of the hill (at the "T") , turn right and go to the parking lots nearest the lake. You can drive on the grass to unload but must move the cars back to the parking lot as soon as possible.
Visitors:
The battle area is marked with yellow tape, anyone within the taped off area MUST wear safety glasses. There is a box of safety glasses for visitors at the entrance to the area, please return them there when finished with them. (they cost money!)
The pit area is open for visitors as long as safety glasses are in place, and the combatants love explaining the game, and their ships to you. However, in between the sorties, they may be too busy reloading or repairing for the next battle to converse.
During the battle, stay up the hill away from the battlers who are watching their ships and might walk right over you if you get in their way. Yes, the ships do shoot bb's and these can hurt if you are hit. However, with the exception of the eyes, teeth and ears, damage will not be great. Watch young children to make sure they do not take off their safety glasses or sit down.
Combatants:
Generally at this Regional, we do not count ships holes. In the IRC, the 30 sec. moss rule is always in effect. Speed or other rules violations can be reported to the Contest Director or your admiral. If there is something on your ship that is legal under another set of rules but not in the IRC, check with the Contest Director for a ruling. Bring your own tables, drinks, CO2, etc.
